Dziurawiec Malesowy Rockshelter

Posted on 14 December 201830 September 2019

Dziurawiec Malesowy Rockshelter

The rockshelter is located in the Malesowe rocks in the Jamka gorge. It has one entrance opening with eastern exposure, 1 m wide and 1 m high. The rockshelter gradually narrows, ending with a small entrance opening, now covered with soil and leafs. Surveys here, at the request of prof. W.Chmielewski conducted here in autumn 1994 prof. Karol Szymczak, then Assistant Professor at the University of Warsaw. Research resulted in acquiring a small collection of neolithic artefacts, which now, together with drawing documentation, is lost. Dziurawiec Malesowy is located in part of National Park covered by strict protection.
